On September 17 and 18, some members of the GMR Safety team travelled to Ghent, Belgium, to take part in the Transport & Logistics trade show for the very first time.
Over a two-day period, more than 250 exhibitors and just over 50 speakers shared their expertise and proposed various solutions to visitors, which are sure to liven up the logistics scene in Europe this year.
GMR Safety, for its part, had a prominent place at the entrance to the hall, with a 42 m² booth that caught the eye of many of the 4,000 visitors in attendance. The brand-new POWER CHOCK® AUTO automatic system drew attention of many visitors, who paid close attention during the live demos. The POWER CHOCK® 5, the flagship model with the ergonomic arm, and the POWER CHOCK® 7, the lockable model in the series, were also on show, and proved their effectiveness as usual. A feeling of conviviality and dynamism enabled the GMR Safety team to leave the event with a number of new contacts working in the sector and wishing to further secure their loading dock operations.
Vincent Tremouilhe, Key Account Manager Europe, confirms that there is real business potential in the Benelux market. The idea is to further develop partnerships and seek out new projects by including GMR Safety’s current partners in the process.
With the dates of future editions of Transport & Logistics already announced, GMR Safety has registered for those of 2025 and 2026, to be held in Antwerp and Ghent respectively.
