PORTABLE & UNBREAKABLE

POWER CHOCK® 3 is a patented, simple, reliable wheel-based vehicle restraint designed to prevent accidents and near-misses at the loading dock.

This model integrates the driver directly into the safety sequence. By manually positioning the chock in front of the trailer’s rear wheel and placing it onto the restraining plate, the driver actively participates in securing the vehicle, for a better safety process.

With its optimized design, including a taller chock profile and an integrated positioning bar, it delivers outstanding dock safety and operational performance.

  • NEW Better ergonomics — Taller chock design (from 16’’ to 19’’) to reduce strain on drivers, improve handling, and provide a greater restraining force
  • Effectively secures any type of vehicle from accidents and near-misses during loading and unloading operations
    (when set in front of a rear wheel – up to a distance of 15 feet from the loading dock wall)
  • Designed to fit on either side of the vehicle (right-hand or left-hand side of the dock)
  • Provides 50,000 lbs of restraining capacity
  • Equipped with a complete audiovisual communication system, including a control panel and optical sensors to confirm proper placement

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Flexible pole working in conjunction with a 19 inches high-tensile steel chock
  • Three (3) sections of hot-dip galvanized steel ground-anchored restraining plate
  • Integrated positioning bar indicating the correct orientation for placing the chock in front of the wheel
  • Integrated and complete audiovisual communication system:
    • Indoor control panel with audible alarm, signal lights (red/green), and a “chock engaged” illuminated indicator
    • Outdoor signal lights (red/green) with audible alarm

The dock leveler and/or door cannot be operated unless the POWER CHOCK® is properly engaged

  • Two (2) sensors linked to the communication system:
    • Chock sensor, confirming proper wheel chock placement
    • Dock sensor, indicating if leveler is set on the vehicle
  • Optional trolley available for easier handling of the chock

Fully integrated with door and dock leveler controls, it centralizes the management of your loading dock equipment into a single interface. Its programmable control modes and built-in self-diagnostic capabilities ensure optimal performance, quick troubleshooting, and enhanced operational reliability.

WINTER PERFORMANCE

All POWER CHOCK® systems are engineered and have been field-proven for 30 years to perform reliably in harsh winter environments, maintaining consistent operation despite snow, ice, and freezing temperatures.

  • Reliable performance in snow, ice, and severe winter weather conditions
  • Robust construction designed to withstand demanding outdoor environments
  • Available with an optional 3-way snow plate to accommodate repeated snow removal operations
  • Maintains consistent functionality and operational efficiency throughout the winter season

To maximize the durability and lifespan of your equipment, we recommend using blue salt or a de-icing product rated for temperatures as low as -30 °C (-22 °F) during winter conditions, when required. You may also contact us for more assistance.

LED CORNER LIGHTS FOR ENHANCED DOCK VISIBILITY OPTIONAL

Improve dock visibility and safety by mirroring the POWER CHOCK® control panel signals directly at the door. Installed at the top corners and connected to the system, these LED lights clearly display red/green status, so operators instantly know when it’s safe to proceed.
